About Marge's Still

Established in 1885, Marge's Still stands as one of Chicago's oldest continuously running taverns. Located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood at 1758 N Sedgwick St, this historic establishment survived Prohibition when it operated as "Victor Caruso's Soft Drinks" while secretly serving bathtub gin made upstairs. After Schaller's Pump closed in 2017, Marge's claimed the title of oldest continuously running tavern in Chicago.
